Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We took Lamb Grill feast with Mediterranean Salad and Rice- $17.5+-(with tax) . Food was tasty enough. But for me quantity was not that enough. It was kind of fancy dish rather than regular one. If u too much hungry then it will not fill ur tummy. But overall ok. Staffs are good. ambient is good.

Taziki’s in San Marcos is a great spot for fresh Mediterranean food. The grilled chicken was tender, the hummus was smooth and flavorful, and the Taziki sauce was addictive. Quick service, friendly staff, and a clean, relaxing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

I recently visited Taziki’s Mediterranean Café, and I must say, the experience was truly impressive from start to finish. The restaurant itself is very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained — perfect for gatherings, group meals, or even a casual lunch with friends. The Mediterranean aesthetic is clearly visible in the décor, with a soothing blue-and-white theme that creates a refreshing and relaxing ambiance. Whether this place draws more from Greek or Turkish influences, it certainly captures the authentic Mediterranean spirit in both design and food. Their menu is well-organized and easy to follow, offering a wide range of Mediterranean dishes — from shawarmas, gyros, and falafel wraps to baklava, hummus, pitas, and rice platters. I really appreciated the variety, including their sides, dips, and drinks. We ordered a Char-Grilled Lamb Rice Platter, which came with perfectly cooked basmati rice, a fresh Mediterranean salad, and two flavorful dipping sauces — one light and refreshing, the other slightly tangy. The lamb itself was tender and well-seasoned. My only minor observation is that the portion of lamb could be slightly more generous for the price (around $16–$18), but the overall quality and freshness more than made up for it. We also tried the Chicken Gyro, which came with a delightful sweet potato salad and crispy pita chips — both of which complemented the main dish perfectly. Every item on the plate looked and tasted fresh, and the presentation was clean and vibrant. The service was equally wonderful. The staff were polite, cheerful, and conversational, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which reflects their attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. We chose to sit outdoors, and it made the experience even better — the weather was pleasant, and the surroundings felt calm and refreshing. It truly felt like enjoying a Mediterranean meal somewhere along the coast on a perfect summer afternoon. Overall, Taziki’s Mediterranean Café offers a wonderful combination of great food, clean aesthetics, friendly service, and an inviting ambiance. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for light, fresh, and flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. Thank you, Taziki’s, for a lovely dining experience. I’ll certainly be returning soon — solid 5 stars from me!
