The Abbey is a very nice rustic feel kind of place. Gives off old town vibes. The food was prepared well and plated with care to give you the visual satisfaction of a great meal. The service staff were great especially since I visited with a large group of people. We are in the separate event room and were well taken care of. All of the appetizers we had were great (cheese sticks, nachos, stuffed mushrooms were excellent, and blooming onion was well season and perfectly cooked) My meal was very well prepared and plated. Cooked exactly as I ordered and expected. Would highly recommend this establishment.

We were staying overnight in Quincy Illinois and after driving all day along the Great River Rd,we wanted a nice dinner close to our hotel. For some reason the reviews were not great but we decided to give The Abbey a try and we are glad we did! We were seated immediately . We explained to our server Sally they my wife is Gluten free and she was super helpful. They offer a nice menu with a wide variety of food options. We started with their drink specials..a frozen vodka drink and a Redemption bourbon double. Prices were super cheap in our opinion. My wife had the baby back ribs with mixed vegetables and they fell off the bone. Sauce was amazing. I had their Surf and Turf special . Steak was cooked just right and the shrimp stuffed with crab meat were very good. Portions were huge and unfortunately we could not take anything home since we were staying at a hotel. This is a family owned and operated that feels like home. Decor is really cool and definitely a place to stop in whether just for drinks, appetizers, burgers or steaks.

I’ve been coming to The Abbey for years, with not a single complaint. I stopped in last night for some loaded potato skins, and their pork chop ribeye (cajun style) special with one of their pumpkin espresso martinis…..🔥 it was all around one of the BEST meals I've had in a while (and I like to eat😂). Thank you, Nick H for giving us great service!
