OMG!!! For my birthday my kids treated me to dinner from Food from the Soul. I had the fried fish platter, with mac and cheese and cabbage. My son had fried wings and the mac and cheese. My daughter had the oxtail platter with candied yams and mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely mouth watering. Each takeout container had to weigh 5 pounds. And since this was our first time eating here we received a wonderful surprise-dessert on the house…banana pudding which was amazing! My only regret is that I didn’t try this place sooner 😂. Will definitely be back. Thank you, Food from the Soul, for making my birthday meal super memorable 💕

Made three visits to this place before posting this review, and wanted to try a variety of what they had on offer. The fried chicken? Crispy, crunchy and moist. The jerk chicken? Falls off the bone and has a nice heat to it. The shrimp? Crisp and juicy, could maybe use a bit more seasoning but it’s still pretty good. Trina was a great help in deciding on what to try first and even gave samples of sides, all of which are great. My only gripe is that it’s a bit expensive, but it’s great food and made to order so I can accept that. I’ll be coming back for sure.
