The Breakfast Cottage

Very quaint looking cottage that provides not just food but an actual pleasurable experience. The atmosphere is comfortable it wasn't busy when we were there because it was an hour before closing. If you like a cute place to eat with fantastic menu this is the place for you. Portions are generous and prices are a good value. My wife had the jersey bagel which was pork roll well done egg provolone cheese with potatoes. She enjoyed it very much and only finished half the sandwich on her everything bagel. I had the sourdough and Swiss cheese grilled with tomato soup it was delicious. Ariella was the waitress and was very accommodating and the pleasure to deal with. They have indoor and outdoor eating. It was drizzling a little outside but there was enough cover to eat outside but we chose to eat inside. Parking is plentiful and handicap parking is with a ramp is there. Bathroom was clean and very large, large enough to accommodate a wheelchair easily. We left with our bellies full and a new experience and place to come back to. Highly recommend if you're in the area for breakfast or lunch.

The first two photos are pictures of our breakfast from two weeks ago. We came back today and ordered the same thing as last time. The avocado was spoiled. When I first saw the avocado, I thought the bad color wouldn't affect the taste (last two pictures). Also, the egg and toppings weren't hot. When I got home, I had a severe stomach upset… I'm so frustrated… I didn't intend to write a bad review; I really like this cozy and elegant restaurant. I hope today's incident was just an accident in the kitchen, as food safety is paramount. I also hope the waiters can promptly inform the chef. I told the waiter today that the avocado was spoiled, but she just said "okay" and seemed completely unconcerned.

Do you love bacon? How about chocolate? Yes these are rhetorical questions! Come get yourself some bacon chocolate chip pancakes and the breakfast burger! Conveniently located right near Oscar Scherer state park! Loved my cold brew and meal. Only disappointed I couldn't get one of the t-shirts! Maybe next time since "nothing stacks up to them"
