The Bungalow Bakery Cafe + Catering

I used the Bungalow to cater a bridal shower tea that I hosted for my future daughter in law at my house. They handled all the food, from finger sandwiches, fresh salad, amazing scones, muffins, and cookies. The guests loved every bite - and the presentation of everything was magnificent. We had some of the best strawberry jam and lemon curd that we've ever had. They made a custom cake for us - and everything was simply gorgeous! They even rented vintage mismatched china which made the tables look so charming! I would highly recommend using them for any event you are hosting. They were absolutely outstanding to work with - and so attentive to whatever preferences or requests that I had. I'm so thankful that I found them - they helped make my event so special!

In a pinch, I called up Palermo Bakery which is now The Bungalow and asked if they could make me vegan cupcakes. I won't commit them to it but they were able to make me 10 cupcakes and have them ready in under 3 hours. I was just hoping to find something they had ready-made but it was very delightful to have the owner make fresh cupcakes in vanilla and strawberry for my party that evening. The cupcakes themselves were a hit! The bread was soft and moist and the frosting was not too sweet. They'll get my business again when I need something sweet :) I should have gotten a better picture but here's one through the box!

It's sad to see how much this place has changed. The last time I came here was over a year ago, and Joseph was so kind and attentive, unlike the new owners. Kelly (one of the owners) can be heard verbally abusing her employees, while her wife, Ramie, has been noticeably drunk both times I've been there. As for the premises, I can only say that it does not seem to meet minimum hygiene standards. If you don't want to waste your time and money, there are better places in San Dimas and downtown Vern.
