We stumbled on this place while in WV for a work meeting. Had great reviews and we decided why not?! It was definitely a more Ruth Chris type of vibe. We felt a little under dressed. Our server was amazing. She was friendly. We quickly told her we were new to the place and she had great recommendations. Only thing I wish was that they had more fresh options. Most of them were fried. But the food was tasty. And the view was great! The vibe was low key and quiet.

Passing through & I had a wonderful dinning experience here! Susan was amazing!! I loved the old school steak house feel, the bar was very cozy, and you could see deer out of the large windows. My filet was so tender and delicious. Priced perfectly, 52 dollars for a 6oz filet, a side, a salad, bread and drink. So glad I stopped in. Chefs kiss 🤌

We were in town from Augusta GA skiing at Winterplace. We were looking for a decent steak and the Char did not disappoint. There were five of us. Four ordered the filets and one the ribeye. All the steaks were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The sides were great (Brussels, stuffed potato, etc) and decent portion sizes. Two of us opted for desserts and got bread pudding and tiramisu, both of which were delicious. The wine service was excellent and the atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy. It was a great find that I’m happy to recommend.
