Had a fabulous breakfast with the hubs. The menu was way better than your typical breakfast place. The service was decent and the location is perfect, with a view of the riverwalk and Fox River. Pricing was a bit high, but you get a lot of food. I was only able to eat about half my skillet.

We went to The Creamery for brunch today. For drinks, we ordered the Burnt Sugar Old Fashioned and the Creamery Ol’ Fashioned. The Burnt Sugar Old Fashioned is made with Bubba’s Burnt Sugar Whiskey, while the Creamery Ol’ Fashioned uses house-infused chai whiskey. In both cocktails, those flavor profiles were very pronounced—in a good way. Both were well-made and very enjoyable. For food, we ordered the Waffles with Mixed Berries, the Fried Green BLT, and the Hangover Hash. The waffles were good and nicely presented, served with a generous amount of berries, house-made jam (which was delicious), whipped cream, and powdered sugar. The Fried Green BLT unfortunately missed the mark. The fried green tomatoes were extremely oily—so much so that when the first bite was taken, hot oil spilled out and burned the side of my wife’s mouth and face. There was even a noticeable pool of oil left on the plate. The bread-to-filling ratio was also off, with very small pieces of bread, and the tomatoes themselves were tough. Overall, the sandwich was just…blah. The Hangover Hash was a huge portion of potatoes, bacon, and eggs covered in sausage gravy, and it was really good. The gravy had a noticeable kick to it, so if you’re sensitive to spice, that’s something to keep in mind. Our server, Azie, was very kind and extremely apologetic when we mentioned the hot oil. She immediately offered to replace the dish, which we declined, and then had it taken off the bill. Her service was excellent. We would definitely come back to try other items. They’ve been voted “Most Like a Meal” for their Bloody Mary, so that’s absolutely next on the list. For more reviews follow us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Lemon8 and Threads @gbdiningdykes

The "bottomless" mimosas are amazing! So many flavors! The food was fantastic and our server, Kate, was fabulous. Will come here again!
