Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This is a small local restaurant with awesome food! I noticed the name on the map as I looked for somewhere nearby to eat. I liked at all the positive reviews and decided it was worth a stop. My husband had the meat loaf special which was covered with marinara sauce. He said it was good. I had the Alfredo pasta with blackened chicken. It was superb! The sauce wasn't just plain Alfredo, but had a bit of a kick like the blackened chicken. The portion was large enough I got to enjoy leftovers another meal. I shared some pasta with my husband who agreed the flavor was top notch. The service was friendly and very attentive. We were even thanked for giving a small local town and restaurant our business. We'll stop here again if it's on our path back home.

This a gem of a place, we saw sign on the interstate and decided to head that way, Sidney was an excellent waitress, full of knowledge, told us to go upstairs and check it out. So glad we did, lots of information about the building, was decorated great. Love the fish tank downstairs and the Christmas trees. Also food was delicious, my husband had a burger it was huge and I had the special Beef Stew, it was excellent, took carrot cake to go, didn’t open up until I arrived at my destination, it’s the largest piece I’ve ever seen and delicious. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

I am a little grumpy about this meal. First, it’s a cool historic building. The staff is very nice. The price was insane! For two sandwiches with a side, one coke, after you add up tax, a 3 % “dining fee?”, tip, it was $52 bucks. What a rip off. 52 bucks is Boston or Philly prices. My wife and I have been traveling across the country and I’ve had nicer dinners in bigger cities for less than that price. Get real this is a small town in the middle of nowhere. As far as the food, it was average. My Reuben was a nice portion but the bottom slice of bread got soggy quickly because there was too much water in the sauerkraut. The Russian dressing had very little flavor and so that tang that makes a Reuben great was missing. The bacon on my wife’s BLT looked two days old. It was dry as a bone. She did however enjoy the zucchini soup side. I’d be perfectly fine with this meal as a pit stop if it was reasonably priced, but if you’re gonna charge that much, it needs to be pretty outstanding.
