The Atmosphere & Location The ambiance here is fantastic—perfect for a date night or grabbing drinks with friends. It’s easily accessible and located in a beautiful shopping area, which is one of its strongest points. — The Food: Hits & Misses • The Best Part: The Truffle Fries were excellent and a huge hit with the kids! The toast-based dishes were also very tasty, and the mashed potatoes were a highlight. • The Risotto: Quite disappointing for the price (nearly $50). The portion was very small, and while it had a strong seafood flavor, the seasoning felt unbalanced, which slightly overshadowed the texture of the rice. • The Mains: The fried chicken was a bit too sweet for my liking, and the burger patty lacked that "juicy" feel. The regular fries were just average. • The Sides: The green vegetable side was quite salty and definitely needed to be eaten with the mashed potatoes to balance it out. Value for Money — To be honest, I found it overpriced. We ordered five items, and the bill came to $150+ before tip. Given the small portion sizes and inconsistent flavors, you can likely find better value elsewhere at this price point. Summary: Come for the vibe and the great location, but be prepared for a higher tab relative to the portions.

I was taken to this restaurant by two dear friends to celebrate my ordainment and initially the evening was going well. The server JP was very attentive, courteous and professional. He explained what the specials were and provided great service. Unfortunately, the evening was tremendously dampened when our table was approached by a woman who didn’t introduce herself and decided that in spite of the fact that there were two empty chairs to our left and right, it was necessary to remove our coat and purse that was occupying the empty chair at our table and those items were placed in the seating beside me along the cushioned bench and she proceeded to take our chair and provide it to another table. Although we were perplexed by this we carried on with our evening. Our food was served and we ate and had the remainder boxed to go and decided to have desert. As we sat sharing our Tiramisu and Chocolate cake, the same rude unidentified woman approached our table for the second time and rudely asked us if we were taking our deserts to go, my friend who was paying for the evening informed her that she had just given our server her card to pay and the rude woman said, “Ok, because we’re going to need this table shortly.” and sauntered off. My friends who have patronized this establishment several times were stunned and both said that they had never been approached in this manner before and needless to say, I was utterly flabbergasted. I have no intention of ever returning to this restaurant because of this so-called hostess. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do anything and the way that woman treated us was disrespectful, rude and very inconsiderate. She certainly didn’t represent this establishment in a good way and left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Aside from her terrible antics, the food was fine but she dampened an otherwise lovely evening for myself and my friends and didn’t represent the Hideout Kitchen in a good way at all. For service I rate JP a five star, however the so-called hostess’s antics makes the overall rating two stars for service and she ruined the atmosphere, so I give that a one star.

Recommend reservation and early arrival due to parking. Great service from begining to end. The food came out quickly, tasty and fresh. Make sure to order a few items for the table to try/share. Cost for brunch plus gratuity $40 per person and we all left with leftovers too.
