Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (okay maybe 3.5 but we’re optimistic 😅) The Local Table — I arrived ready to be wowed. Mentally prepared. Taste buds stretched. The cheese curds absolutely understood the assignment. Golden. Crispy. No notes. They carried the emotional weight of the meal. The salad was good! Fresh! But the bowl was so tiny I felt like I was playing culinary Tetris just trying to turn a leaf without launching it onto the table. The fish was a little on the greasy side, but the fries? Fantastic. So now we have a pattern: apps and fries are thriving. Overall, not terrible — just not the full wow moment I had hyped up in my head. I’m willing to give it another shot… the real question is whether I can convince my husband to come back for round two. Stay tuned.

This quaint local diner ( a former eat-in Pizza Hut ) is great, hometown cooking, if your tired of corporate type eateries this is the place to go in Security- Widefield area of Colo Springs. Only 2 miles from the airport. They have outdoor seating when weather permits. If you like dining with a Mountain view. There is a small bar within the restaurant.

Delicious food. Quick service. First time I was here I had the waffle combo with eggs and they were able to add the strawberry mouse to it, so tasty. The second time I came here I ordered the Sofa King, which is chicken fried steak with bacon and eggs. Both breakfasts I ordered came with crispy and delicious potatoes mixed with Parmesan cheese and onion, very tasty. Decent amount of tables indoor, about the same outdoor. Staff are quick and very nice. Military discount is available, but I think it's limited to 1 item.
