Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

A very nice Greek-Italian restaurant with friendly service and good fresh made food. Be sure to check out the large variety of very decadent desserts. The baklava was excellent: thick cuts with generous pistachio filling and sweet honey.

The potatoes were great ! (Crispy fried potatoes) NOT Greek potatoes. 🤷‍♀️ Greek potatoes have lemon & olive oil with oregano. If you follow my blog you know I rarely say anything bad about a restaurant but this food was bad. We really wanted to like this restaurant when we were in town visiting Bristol. It’s called the Mad Greek, but they’ve totally lost their Greek side. It looks like the best food there was pizza Stromboli and vegetarian options. They have falafel they have spanakopita. They have vegetarian pizza they have vegetarian Stromboli and calzone, but what they don’t have is Greek food. The pita bread was the worst pita bread we’ve ever eaten. It was more like a pancake. The tzatziki sauce I don’t know what that was. It had a good flavor, but it wasn’t tzatziki. The “Greek” salad was not So I specifically asked the waitress due to other reviews if we were going to get a Gyro that was wrapped up like a sandwich with the meat the tzatziki in the vegetables in it she said YES my husband ordered the Gyro platter which now I understand the reviews complaining we got a flat piece of pita bread with three slices of meat on it The meat was kind of dried out, even though they did give us three large pieces they’re not slicing it off the spit. It’s like it looked like they’re slicing it, and then laying it on a grill and cooking it. The green beans were smothered in marinara sauce they were not even edible the Italian berry cake, which was nine dollars for a slice of cake was on a scale of one to 10 maybe a three and not even the fact that that’s sitting in a case not covered with plastic or anything so it kind of got dried out and old. I wished I would’ve tried the carrot cake. None of the desserts, including the baklava are not homemade. They are not made there. There’s nothing Greek about this restaurant anymore and matter fact all the workers we saw it back in the kitchen look like Spanish workers. Hey ! I don’t care about that but the food does not even slightly imitate Greek food. I suggest, pizza or Stromboli. And it was way overpriced We even saw hamburger steak. $55 for a disappointing lunch. Pics attached for what Greek potatoes & Calamari should look like. They also really need to work on presentation. Oh ! We sat for 40 minutes waiting & then the waitress came to tell us they didn’t have what we ordered. Moussaka

An unexpected delight!! We arrived early, around 430, and we had no wait at at all. We were quickly seated, given menus. Our waiter was very nice and helped with picking out some menu items. We went with the sampler appetizer, which was more than the two of us could finish ourselves but we wanted to have several items to sample. The zesty feta was absolutely fabulous 👌, the taziki was fantastic and the hummus was ok. It was our first time here so maybe my tastebuds are broken lol. I had the lasagna and it was the best I've ever had! My better half ordered the Greek Spaghetti and enjoyed it! I suggest wearing your eating pants (you know, the stretchy kind lol) and expect to have some to take home. Oh, I can't forget the dessert! My husband had the tiramisu and I had the Serano! Of course it was scrumptious! I took some pictures of two other cakes they have in the case. They have a HUGE selection of desserts! At 530 the place was packed! But it's Sunday and just before Christmas so I'm sure that had something to do with it. We'll be back. This was a great experience! They have a gorgeous outdoor eating space that Im definitely trying out in the warmer weather.
