Second time here, returned as we had a wonderful meal and experience before. Once again we were greeted and seated by the owner who is very welcoming and friendly. Last visit he gave us the history of the building and how he came to own and operate the place which was informative. They offer you biscuits or corn bread which arrive with butter and apple jam which is very tasty. I loved the mustard based potato salad and ham slice dinner. It also came with baked apple slices which were tasty. Friendly service and a warm atmosphere for an enjoyable meal. We will return again next time we pass through Blacksburg.

What a great find! Friendly staff, cute venue, and the best fried chicken I've ever had. Awesome apple butter with the biscuit too. Would highly recommend.

We had a party of 14 at Blacksburg Tavern, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. They were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making a large group feel comfortable and well taken care of. The family-style food was delicious—yummy, filling, and perfect for sharing. Everything came out hot and plentiful, and no one left hungry. The service truly stood out, and it made our gathering feel special.
