Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We stopped into The Mint today because our show “Celtic Angels Ireland” is on tour and we’re performing across the street tonight at The Grand! The service, food and atmosphere was absolutely superb. We ordered the soup of the day, chili, special wrap of the day, salmon dinner, and the BLT! Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious! We are so grateful for the experience we had and wanted to give a huge shout out to the staff! Thank you so much!

This is a great local café that's been there forever that serves good comfort food and at a good price! The staff are friendly and the service is good and personal. This is a place with "regulars" and nice counter seating as well. We come up to the Museum Bird Show annually and stop here. Never disappointed. City park right across the street as well.

It was very busy when we got there around noon. We were taken to a table for two—the only open table left—and it was pretty amazing how tightly they pack so many people in. Lunchtime would be uncomfortable if you’re not ok with crowds. There were also a couple dozen unoccupied, comfortable looking, classic barstools available around two adjacent semicircle counters, and I kinda regretted not sitting there. One thing I really appreciated was the good lighting. The kitchen and cooks were visible and really enjoying their work, as were the entire staff. Bottom line: the food was fantastic and we enjoyed it immensely even in the lunchtime crowd.
