Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Outstanding burger. The brioche was crispy on the outside. The salad was made with fresh greens, real grated parmesan. The dressing on the side was delicious. Even the water was excellent. Did I mention the cheesecake? Ask for Beth. She's special.

Pleasantly surprised! Decided to try The Mill for my daughter's birthday after looking at the menu. We always thought it was a wine bar with snacks. I have three teenagers so never thought to try it. It was a Monday night and the place was very quiet. Our waitress was friendly and offered to seat us outside. We sat on their cute back patio and had it to ourselves. They also have a front patio but it was next to the road. The waitress promptly brought us water and answered all our questions. First up was the charcuterie board. It was a nice selection and perfect for the four of us to snack on. Two of us ordered paninis, the Turkey Pesto, and the Orchard Valley. Both were very tasty, but the Orchard Valley was the best with the combination of brie and pear. The other two ordered flatbread pizza. Lots of veggies on the Tuin "Garden" pizza with pesto, Italian cheese blend, mozzarella, and balsamic drizzle. It was like a salad on flatbread. The Margherita was excellent as well except my daughter did not care for the capers on it. The vinegar flavor was too strong and overtook all the other flavors. This is not made with a red sauce which was also surprising. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. There were a lot of kid-friendly options as well as gluten-free substitutions. It was nice to sit outside away from the road, there are not many decent outside-dining options in Lynden. We're excited to go back and try something new.
