This restaurant should close for weekday lunches. I had the misfortune of visiting The Porch on a Monday during lunch. When eating alone, I normally sit at the bar. In this case, there was no bartender and I was directed to order food at the counter. If I wanted to order counter food, McDonald's $8 value meal would have been a better option, at least the food would be decent. I ordered a "chopped" salad with chicken and received a bunch of dry iceberg lettuce with a bit of chicken. There was no staff around paying attention to customers. Instead they were cleaning up from a large catering party on the patio. Obviously, I won't be returning and hope that anyone interested in visiting here during lunch will read all of the reviews. A good restaurant has consistent service and food during all of its operating hours. If they don't want to serve weekday lunches, just don't open during those times. To be fair, Mary, the cashier/bartender was pleasant and as helpful as she could be as the only person serving customers. Adding insult to injury the food and beer were overpriced and resulted in a $30 tab.

Colton was our server for Valentine’s Day dinner and he was great. Attentive, funny, and asked questions when he needed clarification. Only disappointment was the red velvet espresso martini. It was flat, with no foam, and looked like a muddy mess. We’ll be sure to come back when Colton AND bartender Jen are on the schedule!
