Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Checked out Anko Sushi at The Louisville StrEatery. Very good, solid sushi 🍣. I got the Muhammad Ali Roll which is Spicy crab and cucumber. Topped with avocado, seared steak and Fried Shallots. Served with Spicy mayo and eel sauce.I got a YumYum Roll with a ginger salad. Sushi was extremely fresh. I watched the guy make it and the ingredients are fresh. My only drawback is that they put my salad in a To-Go container which I didn't care for but its whatever. Still good. They also put wasabi and ginger with my sushi, I did not have to ask for it. I like that as that is not always the regular anymore. The Louisville StrEatery has many different restaurants in this building which I posted the menu's here so you can check those out also. Overall, I thought the Sushi was great. I will be back when I am in town. Very solid especially for being in the Beechmont neighborhood. The place was clean and the staff were friendly.

Love what they do for the community and the quality of their food. When most businesses were closed they opened their doors on the most craziest day Louisville had the most amount of snowfall. My sister lives close by and she was able to receive chicken noodle soup free of charge when they were giving everyone that offer and allowed her to use their phone when hers died. As long as this restaurant is in business I’ll continue to offer them my support and would recommend this place to anyone in the south end area looking for fresh and delicious meals.

This place was amazing, they had something for everybody. The sushi bar took a little long but the food was beautifully made and tasted great. We will definitely go back to try other places there.
