First time at this eatery. Just a very good experience. The waitstaff by far was the highlight as they were all smiles and very personable. Food was also good. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had an omelet. The shrimp and grits were on the good side but expected a cheesier kinda thing. Nevertheless i would order it again. Hans, the general manager, was present and attentive as well. Very nice guy with a concern for the clientele.

First time patrons and had heard such great things about this place. Wife got the ‘yolkwich’ sandwich that had choice of cooked eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon and tomato on sour dough bread. She went with regular grits as side. I tried and ABSOLUTELY loved the southern fried Arnold which comprised of two biscuit halves, each with a tender fried chicken strip, poached egg on top, and topped with southern white gravy!! YUM The only negative was our waitress when asked for a pad of butter for wifes’ grits completely forgot us…another waitress was asked and she forgot us as well. Not severe enough to keep me from getting their scrumptious food again though!!

Since moving to the area in January of 2021, it has been hard to find a restaurant that consistently serves great-tasting food with great service. It almost felt like after 2020, many places stopped caring about the quality of the food, the service, or even enjoying their jobs. But The Toasted Yolk in Victoria has been a breath of fresh air! I’ve now been here multiple times, and every single experience has been wonderful: Oatmeal (1st visit): Shockingly delicious — truly one of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Southern Fried Arnold (2nd & 3rd visit): OMG! Absolutely amazing. The portion is huge — easily enough for two people to leave full and happy. Yogurt Parfait (4th visit): Generous size and so tasty. French Toast: Perfectly made and full of flavor. Every dish I’ve tried has been consistently delicious, fresh, and plated with care. But what really sets this place apart? ✅ Friendly staff who ACTUALLY smile and enjoy what they do ✅ Food that tastes like someone really cared about making it ✅ Consistency every visit And let me just say, if you enjoy a weekend brunch with a little “sip” on the side, their full bar does not disappoint! They have a great drink selection, and every single drink I’ve tried has been fantastic. 🍹🍸 I almost never give 5 stars because I believe there’s always room for improvement… but honestly, I can’t think of a single thing they need to improve right now. They’re doing it right! Highly, highly recommend!
