Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Dined in for dinner and the food was amazing. We got the Oxtail with Rice & Peas, and steamed cabbage and the Jerk Chicken with Rice & Peas and Fried Plantains. We ordered an extra side of Mac and Cheese as well. Jerk Chicken was flavorful and mildly spicy. It was cooked well and the rice balanced out the spice. I would rate this 9/10! The fried plantains were one of the best plantains I’ve ever had, I love how it’s not soggy and it has a crisp to it. Oxtail tasted delicious, it wasn’t as “fall off the bone” as I wish it was. The flavor was there and it was well seasoned. The sauce was paired well with the cabbage and rice! I would give it a 7.5/10. The Side of Mac and Cheese was my favorite. It was delicious and the broiled cheese on top added the perfect texture in every bite. 10/10. Service was good, the waiter was friendly and welcoming! There are lots of parking and seating.

The Well, Randolph MA - Round Two Preface: I've been to Jamaica 20 times now and I have travelled all over the island so I have had my fair share of Jamaican food. I was also taught to make jerk, by a Jamaican, over a period of several months and it's always a big hit when I make it! Not to mention, I travel all over New England for my job, and I regularly sample food from the different areas I'm in, especially Jamaican food so I have had dishes from many Caribbean places in the area. This past weekend I was headed to IKEA in Stoughton and The Well is only 8 minutes from there so, I was excited to indulge in some island flavors again! The first time I tried The Well, I was working in the area and I ordered a couple of take out dishes. I almost always order at least two items when I'm trying a place for the first time as I want to give them a fair shake. I had the Jerk Pork and Jerk Chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The best I've had outside of Jamaica and better than some there as well. Too many places around here just dump some Grace or Eaton's out of a jar, on to some chicken and call it a day. Jerk is like BBQ, everyone should have their own unique flair to it and The Well does not disappoint! For my second time, it was take out again. I was hoping to dine in with my wife as this place is not like most Jamaican restaurants. They're usually small, take out spots with no bar, not the case here. It's a large establishment with lots of seating, a full bar and also a take out counter off to the side. Wifey wasn't up for the adventure this day though so styrofoam it was 😭 I am a huge fan of jerk chicken and even more so, jerk pork, when you can find it. (Give me some jerk rabbit and I'm in heaven 🤪) Oxtail is good, my wife loves it and curry goat is pretty bomb as well but it's hard for me to pass on jerk, especially when it's as good as it is here! So, this time I ordered 2! Jerk Chicken meals with Rice & Peas and 2! Jerk Pork meals with Gungo Peas & Rice. I was 💯 getting my jerk fix 🤣 I also ordered an order of the Curry Crab to change it up and try another dish. The curry crab was at least a half a crab worth of legs and some-body. It was seasoned really well, right through to the meat inside. The shell was softer than I expected so I had to more tear it open rather than use shell crackers but that was only because it was marinated, I believe. Either way, it was awesome, tons of flavor!! The JP and JC are done similarly but the Pork is a bit saucier I think, maybe it was just my portions. Either way, the Chicken was super juicy and the skin was incredibly full of flavor. Their seasoning is not overly salty and I'm a marinade guy over dry rub (though I like both) so ✅ from me. The Pork portions were also as good as it gets! All of the rices were also perfection, tender and moist and great for sauce sucking. The best function of rice IMO!! 🧽 In conclusion, needless to say, I highly recommend this spot. If you've never had Jamaican food or jerk before, this would be a great introduction. If you're a seasoned (see what I did there) pro, you won't be disappointed. Round 3 I promise we'll try some other dishes and update you all 🐐🐐
