Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Stopped in for breakfast. I tried the eggs Benedict and my husband got an omelette. The Benedict was pretty good, I’ve had better and I’ve definitely had worse. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy! The service was very friendly! The stools at the counter are not comfortable at all. My legs fell asleep 😅. So get a table if you can!

The Main Cafe is a good classic diner-style restaurant in downtown Stillwater serving up breakfast and lunch dishes. My partner and I visited on a Sunday around 11 and had no trouble finding a seat. The atmosphere, service, and food were all solid. Our server was nice and brought us coffee refills promptly. Their menu is large with lots of classics so it's definitely a good stop if you're hoping to satisfy a picky eater. Atmosphere-wise, I like the murals they have painted on either end of the restaurant. Overall, while I wasn't totally blown away by any one thing, I thought everything was pretty good and I left full. This restaurant is definitely worth a stop, especially if you're looking for a breakfast to scratch that nostalgic itch for classic diner food.

It is DT Stillwater. It is always lovely there. The food this time was ok but we came in last minute. I didn't like the geros. But I have eaten here a lot so I will only suggest breakfast.
