Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This restaurant was a true privilege to visit, and we didn't have to wait a second for a table. We snagged a spot outside and I immediately fell for the place's vibe, a perfect blend of lively and relaxed that just screamed "date night." While we only sampled two dishes between the two of us—a limited, but delicious, scientific study—the food was well above average. The nacho platter was truly one of the biggest I've ever seen, a magnificent mountain of ingredients. My salad was also excellent, especially the homemade dressing, a flavor standout on a plate that cost over $15. The service was top-notch, with our server anticipating needs faster than my determination to eat healthy. As for the prices, they were just slightly on the high side (I know, I know, blame inflation, not me), which is the only reason for the star deduction. If I lived here, I would for sure take my wife out on a date here sometime soon. Though not a drinker, I did notice they have a large drink menu. All in all, a thoroughly impressive experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thirsty Fox Albert Lea, MN If you’re anywhere near Albert Lea and haven’t been to the Thirsty Fox yet… you’re missing out on one of the best spots in town. From the moment we walked in, everything felt clean, warm, and welcoming. The atmosphere is upbeat but comfortable the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease and know you’re going to have a great time. Seating was quick and easy, and the layout offers plenty of space whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or out with friends for drinks. The drinks? Out of this world. Their cocktail list is honestly next-level beautifully made, creative, and priced incredibly well. Every drink we tried was delicious and balanced, from the bright berry mixes to the creamy, refreshing cocktails. You can tell they put real love into their bartending. The food was top-tier. Perfectly cooked, generous portions, fresh ingredients, and absolutely flavorful. The fries were crisp, the sandwiches stacked and juicy, and everything came out hot and looking picture-perfect. It’s clear they take pride in what they serve. One of my favorite parts is their huge outdoor patio, which you can rent out for events. It’s spacious, fun, and makes the whole place feel even more inviting a great option for parties, celebrations, or just enjoying a beautiful day. Overall, the Thirsty Fox is a lively, friendly, and well-run pub right in the heart of town. Amazing drinks, fantastic food, great service, and an atmosphere that keeps you wanting to come back. Highly recommended we’ll definitely be returning! 🦊🍹🍔✨ Rev. Jennifer MH

Wow, this is not your typical bar food, by any stretch. The chef jumped in to help seat us as we arrived during a busy few minutes on a Saturday night. He disappeared, and then we were the grateful beneficiaries of the most intentional, creative and clearly well-thought-out food. This chef loves what he does. (Or fakes it very well. 😉) I snapped a pic of the appetizer. Crostini with some kind of magical whipped ricotta & apple bacon jam drizzled with balsamic reduction and… pesto? I don’t know, but I will be back for more. We travel back & forth to Iowa from downtown St. Paul & none of our local St. Paul bars can hold a candle to this food… or the whiskey list. Well worth the couple miles off the highway.
