Very excited about this new Indian restaurant downtown. Athens, how long has it been since the last one downtown closed? Long enough!! It’s mostly a proper takeout spot, which is just what downtown Athens needed. (A few tables if you’d like to sit and reflect on how patient you’ve been all these years). You can order at the counter, at a little kiosk, or online. The tandoori wings were excellent! Really good. I will be thinking about them all the time. Can’t wait to try the tandoori tacos. We also had the tikka combo with naan, and everything was solid and flavorful. Service and hospitality were warm and welcoming, which is great, because I plan to be there a lot. Yay. Downtown Athens has Indian food again. Nameste!

We had a great experience at Tikka Nation. It’s quick-service and more takeout-style, but it was also an enjoyable place to sit and eat. The chef and owner were incredibly kind and attentive, and they genuinely cared about whether we liked the food and checked in to make sure everything was good. The food came out fast and the portions were generous. The mango lassi was so good, easily a standout. We ordered Hakka noodles, Maggi noodles, pav bhaji, and butter chicken for our son, which h loved. They even gave us some chai to try, and that was delicious too. Overall, great service, good food, and a very welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

What a pleasant surprise! I walked in today without knowing they were doing a soft opening and was surprised to see an Indian restaurant instead of a Chinese one. Everything was freshly made. I ordered the chicken tikka , chicken samosa and the kesar drink, and absolutely loved both. The flavors were amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back!
