Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Was recommended the place by someone. Angelina the hostess was great. Didn't catch bartenders name she was awesome as well. Both very helpful and good conversations. Food and drinks were great. Great service, excellent food, fun atmosphere. Menus is full of different dishes for a variety of tastes. I had the brisket sandwich, Cole slaw, and onion rings. The sandwich was extremely large and delicious! The bread was a major winner on this sandwich, which was full of brisket, bacon, and their “special sauce” which was excellent. The onion rings were as good as I ever had. I was only able to eat 1/2 the sandwich and rings, bringing the other half home and heated them up in the air fryer the next - just as good as when it was brought to the table. The Queen had a bowl of potato soup and dough dots ( bread knots) both were excellent. 100% we will be back

First time I've been here, had to be this way for a work day and I must say this food was great. This is one of those places that your grandparents probably took you to when you were young, and it felt cool to go to the bar as a kid and you remember the food always This is how I felt going there in my mid 40s. I've been to a lot of places for lunch in Michigan, many places at the time of day that I went just after open .... Greatly lack service because they're trying to get ready. Timbers did not have this issue the staff cooks, hostess, bartender all looked ready to work, was happy you walked in the door and did not have that "why are you here" attitude many other places get with you. The server had menu knowledge and I find that particularly important when I'm at a place for the first time. I will definitely be stopping here on my way up North in the future, in my mind it's better to stop here and drive a few extra minutes than stop at Birch run heading up.
