Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

A great addition to Little Elm dining, Tj Golden Bowl. The restaurant is decorated nicely with comfortable booth seating. The service was good and staff were courteous. My bowl for Egg Drop Soup was cool to the touch on the outside and the soup stayed hot on the inside. It was also a generous portion size of Egg Drop Soup. I had the King Pao Chicken which totally rocked! She had the Combination Fried Rice and enjoyed it as well. We had enough to take home a doggy bag too. Tj Golden Bowl is a great place for Chinese cuisine in Little Elm. There is more on the menu for us to try, so we will definitely visit again.

Amazing food and awesome vibes! The Dragon Roll and Mango Lover sushi were out of this world, and I seriously couldn’t stop eating. The egg drop soup, xiaolongbao, dumplings, and chicken lettuce wraps were all spot on. The restaurant is beautiful with great service, and it’s perfect for hanging out with friends. Definitely a must-try. I can’t wait to come back!

Last night we went to try this Chinese cuisine spot… To start, we ordered the egg drop soup. We asked for a cup, but it was actually pretty big. It was okay not amazing, not bad. I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5. Next beef spring rolls. They were good and tasty, but a little greasy, so I’d also rate those a 3.5. We also ordered the seaweed salad, and unfortunately, this one was not good at all. It didn’t taste fresh, it was very oily and wilted. We honestly didn’t even eat it. I’d give that one a 1. We also tried the winter roll sushi. It was good and tasted fresh, which I appreciated, but it did lack a little flavor. I’d give it a 3.5 For the main dishes, we had a fried rice combination. The fried rice was pretty bland , overcooked and not tasty, so I’d give it a 2. The lo mein combination, on the other hand, was better. It came with vegetables, shrimp, beef, and chicken. It had a nice smoky flavor with soy sauce and was actually pretty good. That one gets a 4. Lastly, the Chinatown combination, which comes with vegetables, beef, chicken, shrimp, brown sauce, and steamed rice. This was probably my least favorite dish, right after the seaweed salad. The sauce was on the sweet side, the veggies had a frozen flavor. Because of that, I really didn’t enjoy this plate. The service was pretty slow. I had to ask different servers for plates, napkins, and chopsticks. The place is small, so I’m not sure if they’re new or still getting organized, but the service was definitely not on point. Overall, the place is small, clean, and cozy definitely feels like a neighborhood restaurant. The takeout bags are a cool touch. That said, I’m not sure I would go back. Between the slow service and the food being a bit inconsistent and lacking flavor, it just didn’t fully win me over.
