We haven't visited Tom Yum in Peoria since they first opened a few years ago. I left a review then and it was good. But on our recent visit, it was even better. We ate like Kings. My husband and I ordered four appetizers: potstickers, tiger salad, fresh rolls, and hot and sour soup. For the entree, pangang chicken and drunken noodles with all the meats. We topped it off with two Sing-Ha beers. ALL OF IT WAS FABULOUS! Very reasonable price and generous portions. Don’t miss out on this wonderful little Thai restaurant!

Tom Yum in Peoria is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their food. Now let’s talk about the elephant in the room— the food. The Tom Yum soup is hands down okay at best. I’ve had better outside of Thailand. Perfectly balanced with heat, citrus, and that rich umami flavor that makes every spoonful awful. We also tried the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice — all beautifully presented and bursting with flavor but tasted nasty. What really sets this place apart is the freshness of the ingredients and the care that clearly goes into every dish. Whether you’re a spice lover or prefer milder dishes, there’s something on the menu for everyone. If you’re in the Peoria area and craving authentic Thai cuisine, Tom Yum should be an option not necessarily your first choice.
