This was thee best Jamaican meal I have ever had, in my entire lifetime. I'm from Miami, FL. Jamaican food is a staple cuisine in our city, so I'm no stranger to what good Jamaican food tastes like. I must say the food at Tropical Flava far exceeded the delightful culinary experience of all the restaurants I have visited. I hope Macon, GA appreciates the gem they have in this establishment. I ordered oxtail, rice & peas, plantains, and stir-fry vegetables. Those oxtail melts in your mouth, and the cabbage, along with the other vegetables, were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The rice and plantains were superb palatial additions. Let's not forget the amazing host, James, who displayed hospitality at its finest. Needless to say, my visits to Macon will include dining at Tropical Flava.

After years of passing by and not being in the area when it has been open, my husband and I finally got to eat here. It was absolutely delicious, and James went above and beyond for us. Thank you for the pumpkin rice recipe!

This is some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had! All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had the Tropical Garlic Shrimp, the whole Red Snapper, and the curried goat. We got Jamaican beef patties to take home. Everything is wonderful, and we will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a wonderful atmosphere with delicious food, please come here!
