Tried their South Indian normal Lunch. Curd was sugary and sweet and their Semiya payasam never had sugar. When raised the question the owner said this is the way they prepare the curd. He then mixed the sugar and brought another cup of coloured payasam. It was tasteless. Sambar, Rasam, Proriyal was too tasteless. I mistaken their kootu as sambar (few pieces of ridge gourd and kidney beans and sambar gravy), chapati was good however the dal served was tasteless. Rice seems to be basmati, not sure if South Indian lunch will be served with basmati rice. Over all it was a below average thali meals and not worth for 20$. Masala dosa was okay in taste. Medu vada was very hard however no taste of urad in it. Coconut chutney served with Vada and Masala dosa was not fresh. It tasted like frozen chutney mixed with hot water and tasting old. Drinking water was good and it didn’t taste didn’t tasted the normal pipe water. If you are really hungry try here, do not eat here for the sake of visiting a South Indian restaurant with some expectations. Better eat the tamarind rice and curd rice from the Venkateshwara temple which will be fresh and delicious. Full of regrets and will avoid this place next time.

We come here for authentic South Indian vegetarian food. I had Chana Bathura - huge puffy bread with chickpea curry. My guest had Dal with rice and raita. The servers are very attentive and the food is brought very quickly. The menu has a wide variety of options. It is really hard to choose. There are strict vegan options. The restaurant is modest in style and not a “fancy” restaurant. Don’t let the modest interior fool you - they have the best Indian food in town. They also serve a variety of mango drinks. Their mango milkshake is authentically refreshing. If you are looking for a reliable Indian culinary experience, you will be very pleased with Udipi Cafe.

Edit: Bad experience, Very rude and extremely hostile server. I think other people were very good, but 1 of them ruined my birthday vibes we went in with Authentic taste! I was recommended this place by my South Indian freinds. Reasonable prices and staff is sweet and friendly.
