EDIT TO BELOW REVIEW: the next day i got a response on google and was told to contact them via email for a refund. VERY APPRECIATIVE AND HAPPY with the conversation we shared. The man was very nice, respectful and listened to the feedback i had. He apologized sincerely and went out of his was to make things right. Thank you very very much! I will check yall out again sometime! °°°°Went to a halloween trunk or treat event and saw the truck, herd from a friend that it was delicious! Well I was disappointed, got the nachos without chicken since they were out, and the sauce was so sweet, it tasted like a sweet teriyaki. Wasn't expecting that. Also got the fried plantains and they were not fried at all, or atleast you couldn't tell.. 25$ worth of food not even eaten.

Ordered their jerk chicken tacos, they were ok, had good flavor & an appropriate amount of kick to them. Tried to overcharge from the prices posted on their own sign though. Also others who ordered after us were charged less & got their food first.

Vansauwa's Tacos and Vegan Eats is a food truck that was at the Nashville Black Market. They feature tacos and bowls for which you can choose your protein e.g. chicken, beans, jackfruit etc. I chose a plaintain bowl with jackfruit topped with coleslaw.The flavors were Caribbean inspired. The bowl was good but not great. It was close to closing, so maybe that was the reason it was not satisfying or perhaps I chose a not so good combination of flavors. I will try them a second chance and go with rice as my base perhaps or try tacos instead.
