I'm a member of the San Francisco Vegetarian Society and have been for several years now. I've been to some of their events: veg potlucks, films, speakers, holiday gatherings, etc. Each year I'm also a volunteer at the SFVS World Veg Fest in the County Fair Building (9th/Lincoln) in Golden Gate Park in early October. It's a great event that attracts thousands of attendees for speakers, cooking demos, booths, free samples, kids corner, entertainment, yummy food, swag, and more!

I hope to meet more vegans, however, I goofed up and didn't sign up through Event Brite to prepay for a ticket to the Lunar New Year celebration feast @ Enjoy on Kearny. I'm looking forward to future meals with the group.
