Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

A family favorite. Used to dine at a village inn with my grandparents so I enjoy bringing my kids. My kids always love the Smiley face breakfast. I love the eggs Benedict for breakfast and the sandwich, soup and pie for lunch. The workers are nice and friendly. The inside looks like it just got an upgrade.

I've never stood at the door of an almost empty restaurant and waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged and seated until I went here. Then another 10 minutes for a waitress. Only stayed because we were "starving". The food was ok.

Only positive thing I can say is the fries are pretty good. My roast beef was more fat than meat. Pickles were barely more than cucumber slices. At least the service was fine.
