Incredible new Indian restaurant. I am a huge fan of Indian food, especially kebab and biryani. I went for dinner and got the Tandoori sampler and the lamb biryani. The seekh kebab on the sampler platter is by far the best one I have ever had. Their spice blend is so crazy good. I will be ordering that separately next time so I get a bunch of them. The chicken on the sampler was uniformly excellent. Very juicy and tasty. It also came with 2 lamb chops which were great and also some salmon pieces which were really good! We got it as a platter which included a heaping of rice, hummus, salad, and naan which also was very tasty. The lamb biryani is very fragrant with good spice and onion flavor. The lamb inside was really tender. It's tied with Chutneys for my favorite biryani in this area. They are both good at different aspects of the biryani. I will be coming back to try their indo Chinese cuisine as well!! I hope this place sticks around the quality will absolutely make it a standout in the area. It is better than any of the places I have tried in PDX (which is not a knock on those places but rather high praise for Virasat)

Amazing Food!!! Hubbie and I have eaten lots of Indian food over the years and so far this has been some of the best. However …:. Slow…. There is simply not enough waitstaff to handle the floor and the online orders. Still - loved it and we will definitely be back

This is by leagues the best Indian food we have found in the Portland area. It is deeply authentic; no shortcuts. The food arrives at the perfect temperature, the flavors are exactly correct, and only the server speaks much English at all. The Chai tastes like the chai we had in India. The entrees are generous and loaded with ground nuts for body, rather than flour. They have Gujjar Halvah which they make the proper way. Give yourself a huge gift and visit this restaurant. It will change your view of Indian food, no matter how good it is already.
