Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Sat outside and it took a while for someone to come get our order, then took forever to get our food when there was only 1 other small group inside. Had a nice waitress but she only came 3 times, to take our order, deliver food and then I had to go inside to ask for the check. I also asked for extra sauces and got charged for them but wasn’t delivered them with the food. OG smash burger was pretty good, so was the crawfish, the chicken tenders were horribly bland. A cool spot to eat at, just wish the service was more consistent

Went to listen to Oray Band. Good boudin nachos and atmosphere! Plenty of space with a dance floor.

We ate outside and wasn't sure if we should place order at the bar or wait for a waitress 4/5. The seafood boils, Ramen and/or crab, were good for great prices. Grandson played in activity area. Will definitely go to VooDoo Hut again. I love their lightly battered onion rings. Love fries that don't taste like they came from frozen section.
