Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I don't give many 5 star reviews but I wax poetic about the Westside of Columbus there use to be so many great places there when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's and WG Grinders is the one of the last of a dying breed on the Westside this is a really great place with really great people with food 2nd to none in my book. They aren't the oldest place but they have been around a long time and offer consistency not many places can. Don't forget the cheddar Mac....

Omgosh Our second time here, first time we did takeout, this time we stayed and enjoyed our food inside. Such a cute quaint shop, with a huge variety of delicious options. Today, my husband and I really went for it He had the Reuben sandwich special, we made it a combo which includes deli side. I had pepperoni Stromboli, which was recommended by one of the Deli workers. It did not disappoint. I also made it a combo and had a tortellini deli side. We rounded it off with two desserts. I had the Ho ho cake, and husband had strawberry cheesecake. We were so satisfied. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff is upbeat and friendly. The price was extremely affordable, and we were full to the gills when we left. On the sidenote, we live in California and we’re out here on business, this is our second time experiencing these tasty offerings. We will be back again, for sure!

My husband suggested W. G. Grinders for dinner and it did not disappoint. We ordered an Italian grinder, a Reuben grinder, and a pepperoni Stromboli. It was plenty of food, reasonable prices, and great taste. They asked if we wanted the banana peppers on the Italian grinder, it’s good they ask because some may not like them. I always get banana peppers though 🌶️ yummy!! They should add dessert to the online menu, we would have ordered some. I’ve since ordered from here again and added more photos. 😋
