Wahlburgers

Visited December 31st..see my receipt as always. My boyfriend and I had lunch at Wahlburgers inside the Gold Country casino in Oroville. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time! We lucked out and enjoyed their lunch special.. Bbq bacon burger with fries. Only 12 bucks! Burger was juicy and they didn't skimp on the bacon! Fries crunchy and delicious. Love their Wahlburger sauce ( for the fries ). I also ordered the 3 sliders on the regular menu. I especially liked the chicken slider..had a golden crunch to it! The other 2 sliders were good as well. Tons of leftovers! I also tried their expresso martini ..Tammy did a great job on making it! Service was quick and the place is super clean! Nice containers for leftovers and love the take out bag that closes for a good seal! It was a Great experience and we both enjoyed the food! BTW....THEY HAVE A FULL BAR INSIDE THE RESTAURANT Thank you for great food and friendly service from Arika and Tammy!

• Party of 6. Dining area. No complicated orders. • Only two other patrons seated at bar area. Both already with their meals. • Noticeably slow night. 1 worker behind bar, 2 on the floor and 2-3 in kitchen area. Essentially, staffed. • Over 15 min before offering a beverage after seating. • Ordered “starters” and never brought them out until halfway into the meal and it was over fried/burned. • Our group couldn’t eat together/same time because 3 of the 6 basic orders, were made wrong. • Fries were over cooked and ridiculously crunchy. • Staff was unapologetic and unbothered. • Truffle fries are a joke, and didn’t even come with the aioli sauce. • Not busy in here, so not really excusable. • Fried pickles over cooked and cold. Not impressed,and not likely to return 👎🏼👎🏼

So, we took a friend here for dinner tonight. Fortunately, it was not busy, as there was one person in the back, and one in front serving, between door dash orders (many) and 15 folks at tables. From order to food on table was about 35 minutes, and drinks about 40. Either we picked a night there simply wasn't staffing, or there's a shortage of coverage that needs addressing. We weren't in a hurry regardless, and were content to chill and relax, so this didn't effect our experience. To their credit, food was -excellent-, all arrived hot and fresh, and the fellow in the back (Josh) killed it with the number of orders he was working on solo. Drinks were on point. Alex (Cat) was super polite and kind in her service, and apologized for the long waits, but everything asked for was delivered, delicious, and we had a great time. Sincerely, huge kudos to the staff present. They nailed it 100%. The long and short, slider flights were delicious, boozy milkshakes were aces, and despite clearly being under pressure and covering the whole place with two people, the staff did awesome. If you're willing to wait a bit, hecking good burgers.
