We use to love this place but not any more. No hibachi because we didn't have 6 people or a reservation. Service was ok, food wasn't really that good. The sushi rolls my son and I got were good but the steak in my hibachi combo was supposed to be medium and came out well done and like chewing rubber and a really tiny portion. The shrimp was good but only got like 5 pieces. The rest of the dish was bland and barely hot. It's definitly not worth the habachi prices anymore. We will not be returning. We could have spent less and got a better meal at Tokyo grill by the mall.

My sister in law and I have a tradition to come get a bunch of the fancy rolls to split for our birthdays. We have had this tradition for 10 years. We no longer live in Middletown and still make the trip even though it a drive. Worth it everytime. When we lived in the area we would do the lunch special. It is very very very worth it. Their ginger dressing on the house salad is the best I've ever had. We have tried most of the rolls and they are always good! Also they gave me fried ice cream because they heard us talking about my birthday!

Such a peaceful, quiet clean uplifting atmosphere with such delicious food. I had a genuinely awesome experience and I look forward to my next opportunity to visit Watami Japanese Steakhouse 🙏❤️
