Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I was researching some places that had sandwiches for lunch today and I’m thrilled I came across this place and was able to give it a try! Parking is tough but you should be able to find street parking without a long walk. I knew the restaurant was small and was worried we’d have trouble finding a seat because of that. However, we were the only customers in there for a solid 10 minutes when we first arrived. The restaurant itself was adorable! Small but nicely decorated and furnished. I appreciated the stars on the ceiling. The staff were friendly and gave us as much time as we needed with the menu before we ordered at the counter. I had the chicken empanadas and the shrimp poboy. The food came out quickly and was piping hot and fresh. The empanadas were excellent. Great flavor and tasted high quality. I found them to be a little oily but that wasn’t anything a napkin couldn’t fix. The shrimp was cooked well and I liked the sauce it came with. Their bread was also super soft and tasted freshly baked. Definitely something I’d consider ordering again! Overall, I’d definitely come back to the White Owl and would love to check out more things on the menu.

Had the best time coming here for the first time! Came during Sunday brunch hours and it was such a chill place. The service is amazing - super friendly and helpful when not sure what to get. Food is so good! We had the Korean Toast and the Birria sandwich. Both were amazing! Also- I can always respect a place that has a good house Bloody Mary and this place certainly does! Tip- deff give the spicy house pickles a try. I don’t like pickles and these may have changed me.

Had a delicious meal here and can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend the birria sub, corn ribs, and waffle fries. Also great selection of cocktails and beer, and a very chill environment. The tastiest meal I’ve had in Providence in a long time!
