Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Whole in the Wall is the definition of cozy, welcoming dining in Binghamton. The warm atmosphere pairs perfectly with their fresh, homemade food. The Mediterranean platter was vibrant and flavorful crisp falafel, creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, and refreshing tzatziki with fresh veggies. The scallops were beautifully seared and served with tender mushrooms in a rich, buttery sauce. Even the fried broccoli were light and crispy, and the mushroom soup was creamy and comforting. The garlic roll? Warm, buttery, and unforgettable. Whether you’re craving something hearty or something fresh, Whole in the Wall delivers delicious, feel-good food every time. A true local gem. 🌟

I'm a long time southside resident, never eat at chain restaurants, but also never tried The Whole In The Wall Restaurant. Man have we been missing out. Eliot put a FB post out and I read it on Fri morning, we picked the spot for dinner and it didnt disappoint! I had the special enchilada, the taste matched the presentation! All the flavors blended perfectly. My wife had the scallops and she thoroughly enjoyed them as well! We also did cups of the mushroom soup, top 1 or 2 in the area for sure! Eliot also made a point to come out and introduce himself, discuss some of the ingredients and crawl under the table to fix the wobble. There is nothing this guy cant do! We didn't walk out of there stuffed like some other dinners, but rather perfectly full! I'll take quality over quantity every day! Stop in and show them some love!

This is the cutest place ever. After we ate, one of the chefs asked how we liked it, and then he told us we were sitting next to where his grandmother’s bowl was hanging that she brought back from Vienna in the 1940’s. He was so kind and the food was SO amazing. Everything is a 1000000/10.
