Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Great food and a top place in Albany Went for a mix of choices including x2 burgers, x2 loaded fries and the chicken fillets. Food was really good quality with the burgers being up there with the best. The menu is fully vegan which offers a really good choice of burgers and burritos. The place itself is an acquired taste decor wise with a strange toilet set up. The location itself is really good and close to bars and the parking is relatively good. A recommended place to visit.

I think Wizard Burger may have turned me vegan! I was staying at the Hampton Inn at 25 Chapel St, over the weekend and drove past Wizard Burger a few times. I figured I’d pass on the fast food options so easily accessible and try to get a wholesome burger. From the outside Wizard Burger will definitely make you double take. The vintage look along side the touch of obscurity and mysticism, drew me in. A cozy dine-in and take out spot that turned out to be Vegan. The biggest curve ball I could have gotten. i asked the awesome cashier that took my order what they recommended and I’m ecstatic to say the 2nd Breakfast Burger deliver and they knocked it out the park. I’m honestly at a loss of words and it’s a burger you need to try for yourself. You won’t regret it !!!

Our family LOVES to "go see the Wizard." Whoever man's the fries takes care to note if there's toppings and makes them a tiny bit crisper to not get soggy beneath the buffalo chik'n toppings, a little less for plain fries, so they've been perfect Every. Time. Even our smallest party member wanted, and ordered, a second Apprentice burger. Join the adventure! Visit the Wizard!
