Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This is my review update. I came back to wok fire. This time it was highly disappointing. They raised prices, cut portions in half, and kinda rude service. Also they had a table in the middle of the dining area that they used as a to-go order Station. This time around I tried the shrimp curry plate. It was totally watered down and very little seasoning. In a short period of time from the first time I visited here to the second time I believe this place has gone downhill service and food quality. I may have visited on a bad day but still unacceptable. ( past review )Great food for a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, were on point. Only complaint I had was the kung pao needed to be spicier and with less soy sauce.

The orange chicken was really good bomb.com especially for being gluten free. They said they can make 60% of the menu gluten free but you just have to ask so they can modify certain things. But the orange chicken is already gluten free so it doesn’t need to be modified. I was surprised with the portion size as well it was a lot of food.

I am not sure why this has such high ratings. It took me a few days to consider writing this, but after further thought it makes me doubt the integrity of reviews from this site for any form of recommendation and suspect friends and family writing positive reviews to gain interest. I have never had a meal so bad in my life, let alone Chinese food. The sweet and sour pork breading was raw on the inside, and the meat was not seasoned and tough. Not to mention the sweet and sour sauce kind of tasted like bad cherry flavored candy. The cream cheese puffs were sweeter than children’s cereal. The lo mein was awful, but the general chicken was half ok but too small of a portion to share with the family. The hot and sour soups broth was a shade of light pink and the first spoonful quite literally made me gag and almost throw up everything I have eaten and felt awful the full day after. This is by far the worst food I have experienced in this state if not my entire 50 years of life. I cannot believe I spent nearly 70 dollars for this experience. I hope health inspectors visit soon and shut this place down before someone gets actually hurt. I’ll be going to George and sons from now on, and wouldn’t matter if I moved across town to get there but I will NEVER go back to this place again.
