Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This was a very interesting experience! They have lots of booths but it feels a lot like a takeout place. The lighting above the booths is very bright, and they have what appears to be disco lights going in the fan lights haha. They have a big menu, with very similar items to another Rockford restaurant I’ve reviewed. I ordered the Taouk Chicken, boyfriend had the Tandoori Chicken, and we shared the small hummus with tahini appetizer. We ordered water to drink and got bottles of Sam’s Club water… very interesting. The hummus and bread were great, definitely a lot for a small. Both types of chicken had really good seasoning and flavor and were perfectly cooked. Rice was lackluster, and I had plenty of crunchy bits. We also received garlic sauce and some pickled cucumbers and carrots, which were fine but not too interesting. There was a gnat flying around us the whole time which was irritating and surprising considering the weather outside. Our waiter was nice and brought everything we needed. The bill was another confusing thing as there was no tip line, so I left some cash instead. Also, not sure why we were charged an extra $3 under “custom item” (maybe for water or the garlic sauce?). Overall it was fun to try another new place, but I’ll probably be sticking to my usual place for this type of food.

Server was nice and atmosphere is different, but good. They awkwardly turned on music about 15 minutes after we arrived, otherwise quiet. Friday night and we were the only ones there. Food was not good. I'm not sure what it is supposed to taste like, but we left pretty much a full plate. Very dry. Honestly I have no idea where these 5 star reviews come from. Would not recommend or ever try again.

Atmosphere is so unique. We came at a very busy time waiter was still accommodating. Food was unique. Even items we've had before were still slightly different. We ordered several different meals all were fresh and flavorful.
