Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The food was delicious, the service was amazing. Our only little complaint was, believe it or not, the table. There were 4 of us plus a baby sat around a small round table. I know, silly complaint. It worked, it was just very tight. The staff did a fantastic job of clearing plates and glasses as they were emptied but we kinda wish we had an extra sq ft. Would still recommend!!

Great taco place, large bar area with some dining tables. Chips and salsa is not just given and they are not free, however, they have 3 homemade salsas- choose 1 or all 3: sweet, smoky and verde and they are good. The guac is good too. It’s a little confusing that the guac is $12, I was told this is because they make fresh thicker tortillas to hold up with the guac. The margaritas are pricey compared to typical Mexican restaurants around but they are thoughtfully constructed and they use good ingredients. The drinks do not come in a huge goblet and watered down. The service is good but don’t expect fast as the food is not sitting under warming lights, but prepared fresh. Some of the tacos on the menu have a strong Asian influence. The fusion is actually really good! My favorite taco is the rock fish. (No Tilapia.) I also love the tempura Brussels sprouts taco and the Bahn Mi taco! There are 2 fried chicken tacos. Maybe a little dry but the sauces fix that. I do wish they had an option for bottled water. The city water is not good.

I ate at Zandra's today with my husband and some friends for the very first time. The items we all picked were delicious. I got a sweet shrimp soft taco and a skirt steak soft taco. I especially loved the skirt steak soft taco. The flavors were so good and the steak cuts were tender and juicy. My husband ordered the cobb salad bowl with skirt steak and jerk chicken on the side. We shared the Mexican corn, cheese, and pork bowl with homemade corn chips. Nicole our server was super friendly and great at explaining everything on the menu. We all enjoyed our food selections and my husband and I will definitely be coming back. My daughter is looking forward to a future visit as well!
